Clinical Supervisor - HCHV Residential Housing Program

STGi is seeking qualified candidates for this position in connection with an active Request for Proposals (RFP). Hiring for this role is contingent upon STGi’s selection as the successful awardee.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical oversight and supervision for the Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) Residential Housing Program located onsite at the Northport VA Medical Center. The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership and clinical guidance to case management staff supporting Veterans experiencing homelessness and complex medical, behavioral health, substance use, and psychosocial challenges. This role ensures delivery of therapeutic, rehabilitative, and housing stabilization services in accordance with contract requirements and recovery-oriented, trauma-informed practices.

This position supports STGi’s mission of serving vulnerable, at-risk, and underserved populations through exceptional care and outcomes.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Leadership

  • Provide clinical oversight and supervision of residential case management services.

  • Conduct scheduled onsite clinical supervision and remain available for emergencies 24/7.

  • Review and approve psychosocial assessments, treatment documentation, Individual Service Plans, and progress notes.

  • Ensure Individual Service Plans are developed within one week of Veteran admission and updated every 30 days thereafter.

  • Ensure housing placement planning supports transition to permanent housing within targeted program timeframes .

  • Facilitate case conferencing and interdisciplinary collaboration with VA staff.

  • Support crisis intervention and behavioral stabilization activities.

Program Operations

  • Monitor compliance with VA requirements and program performance standards.

  • Ensure documentation accuracy and timely HMIS reporting.

  • Support admissions, discharge planning, and transition coordination.

  • Provide ongoing staff education and quality monitoring.

  • Assist with incident review and corrective action planning.

Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Current unrestricted New York license as:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), OR

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience supervising case management or behavioral health services.

  • Minimum three (3) years working with homeless, chronically homeless, behavioral health, substance use, or residential populations.

  • Experience conducting psychosocial assessments and treatment planning.

  • Experience supervising licensed or master’s level staff.

  • Ability to remain available for emergency consultation 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Required Experience

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting Veterans.

  • Experience with HMIS.

  • Experience with Housing First and Harm Reduction models.

  • Experience in residential or contract residential care settings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to perform office and residential program oversight functions including standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
