Position Overview:

This role is responsible to partner with assigned Category Managers to execute comprehensive business plans. In this role, you will work closely with vendors to manage promotional offers to ensure overall financial goals are met.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with the Category Manager in executing comprehensive category business plans consistent with the Company's overall goals and strategies for assigned categories; plans to include tactics in the areas of assortment, pricing, promotion, and shelf placement.

  • Manage promotional offer process and ensuring vendor submissions align with Category Manager expectations and P&L requirements.

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and accurate contract submissions to deliver financial objectives.

  • Responsible for seasonal/promotional inventory to our corporate retail stores to support demand.

  • Support item life cycle management through innovation launches and exit strategies for assigned categories.

  • Maintain Not on File process as directed by category manager(s).

  • Support ad proofing process by preparing and compiling notes to support a cross-functional team (Marketing, DC Sales team, Managed Ad Groups, etc.)

  • Research and resolve store pricing issues related to promotional offers (retail, sales, procurement)

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required) Business Administration, Food Marketing, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Two years’ experience in marketing, category management, store leadership.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong financial acumen, ability to navigate, interpret, and analyze data

  • A working knowledge of category planning practices

  • Ability to determine quick solutions

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Nielsen Category Management tools, experience with purchasing systems is a plus
