Position Summary: The H uman R esources Generalist I provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team with a strong focus on recruiting, recordkeeping, benefits support, onboarding, and employee engagement. This entry-level role ensures HR processes are executed accurately, consistently, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across all states of operation. The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and discretion while supporting multiple HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead s full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding

  • Lead s new hire orientation room setup and cleanup

  • Facilitate s new hire orientation on a rotating schedule

  • Assist s with onboarding preparation and documentation

  • Support s job fairs and recruiting events as needed

  • Monitor s federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance deadlines (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA) across applicable states of operation and escalate updates to HR leadership

  • Maintain s compliant employee records, including personnel files, I-9s, and medical files

  • Ensure s proper retention and secure destruction of HR records in accordance with record retention schedules

  • Conduct s internal audits of employee files and HR processes

  • Perform s regularly scheduled audits, including new hire files, active and inactive I-9s, and termination folders

  • Prepare s documentation for external audits or investigations as requested

  • Support s the Total Rewards Manager with benefits compliance audits and reporting

  • Assist s with planning and execution of employee engagement events and initiatives

  • Support s employee surveys, data collection, and analysis

  • Provide s recommendations to improve employee engagement based on participation and feedback

  • Coordinate s and schedule company tours, including communication with external guests and internal tour guides

  • Coordinate s company sponsorship requests and process payments upon HR leadership approval

  • Assist s with coordination and execution of All Hands meetings and company-wide events

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources , Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance concepts

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Experience supporting audits or recordkeeping processes

  • Previous internship or entry-level experience in Human Resources or compliance preferred

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems preferred

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certifications

  • 3-5 years of recruiting experience

  • Experience facilitating orientations and employee training

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and company information

  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearances or customer-specific credentials, if applicable

Working Conditions

  • Work Schedule is Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm or 7 am-4 pm). Schedule may fluctuate to include after hours and weekend shifts based on business needs

  • Primarily office-based with frequent collaboration across Human Resources, leadership, and other business functions

  • Frequent use of HRIS platforms, reporting tools, Microsoft Office applications, and other business systems

  • Fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities, projects, and employee support activities while meeting established deadlines

  • Pay Band: $21.88-$29.33 per hour. Starting pay is determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity, and typically falls between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range.
