Job Description

What we are looking for: Metro's Speech Department continues to grow and we are looking for a per diem employee to pick up cases at your convenience within Long Beach area. You will have full autonomy over your own caseload and can choose your own hours.

Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients’ strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. We’re looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges.

  • Job Type: Per Diem Homecare

  • Pay rate: $65/hour

  • Location: Long Beach Area

  • Schedule: Flexible! You will have full autonomy over your caseload.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

  • Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.

  • Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.

  • Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP

  • Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course)
