Drain Technician

Delco Storm & Sewer | Lansdowne, PA

When a drain backs up or a sewer line stops flowing, homeowners need more than a quick temporary fix. They need a technician who can diagnose the cause, explain the options clearly, and provide a dependable solution.

At Delco Storm & Sewer, drain and sewer work is not a side service—it’s what we specialize in. Our technicians have the opportunity to work with professional drain-cleaning equipment, sewer cameras, hydro-jetting systems, and a team experienced in both traditional and trenchless underground repairs.

We’re looking for a dependable, customer-focused Drain Technician who takes pride in solving difficult problems and doing the job right. You’ll have steady demand, hands-on training, and opportunities to grow your skills beyond basic drain cleaning into sewer diagnostics, excavation, trenchless repair, and underground utility work.

If you want to build a career with a company that understands drain and sewer work, supports its field teams, and gives motivated technicians room to advance, Delco Storm & Sewer may be the right place for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and clear residential drain and sewer stoppages.

  • Perform cable work using small- and large-sized drain-cleaning machines.

  • Operate hydro-jetting equipment to clean drain and sewer lines.

  • Perform sewer camera inspections and locate blockages, damage, roots, or failed piping.

  • Explain diagnosed problems and recommended solutions clearly to homeowners.

  • Present appropriate cleaning, repair, maintenance, or replacement options.

  • Obtain customer authorization before beginning work.

  • Remove and reset toilets and P-traps when necessary.

  • Identify sewer or water-line issues that may require excavation or trenchless repair.

  • Complete accurate service notes, estimates, photos, and customer documentation.

  • Maintain truck inventory, tools, equipment, and materials.

  • Protect customers’ homes and leave work areas clean and organized.

  • Operate equipment safely and wear all required personal protective equipment.

  • Communicate professionally with customers, office staff, and coworkers.

  • Participate in required meetings, safety training, and technical development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous drain cleaning, sewer, plumbing, excavation, or related service experience preferred.

  • Ability to operate cable machines and other drain-cleaning equipment safely.

  • Experience with hydro-jetting and sewer camera equipment is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of residential plumbing, drain, and sewer systems.

  • Ability to remove and reset toilets and P-traps.

  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable explaining service options and recommending appropriate solutions.

  • Professional communication and customer service skills.

  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a field team.

  • Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and field service software.

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to perform physical work in basements, crawl spaces, bathrooms, yards, and outdoor conditions.

Why Work at Delco Storm & Sewer?

  • Competitive compensation with performance-based earning opportunities

  • Steady, year-round demand for essential drain and sewer services

  • Professional drain-cleaning, camera, and hydro-jetting equipment

  • Hands-on technical and customer service training

  • Opportunities to advance into sewer repair, trenchless work, underground utilities, or crew leadership

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • 401(k) with Company Match

  • Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays

  • Company-Provided Vehicle

  • Company Phone or Tablet

  • Uniforms Provided

  • Support from an experienced drain, sewer, and underground utility team

  • A professional environment that values safety, accountability, and quality work
