As an Employment Specialist, you’ll work side-by-side with clients to help them find, secure, and grow in meaningful employment. You’ll coach, mentor, advocate, and celebrate their wins—big and small.
What You’ll Do

Partner with clients to explore strengths, interests, and career goals

Support job searches, applications, resumes, and interview preparation

Provide hands-on, on-the-job coaching and ongoing support
-
Help clients build confidence, independence, and workplace success skills
-
Advocate for client needs, including workplace accommodations when appropriate

Build relationships with local employers and create new opportunities
-
Conduct job analyses and ensure strong client-job alignment
-
Collaborate with VR Counselors and provide timely progress updates
-
Transport clients to job sites and support community integration

What You Bring
Required:

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
-
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to transport clients
-
Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days
-
At least 6 months of experience supporting individuals with disabilities
-
A passion for coaching, mentoring, or teaching others
