Salary Range: $18.00 To $21.00 Hourly

As an Employment Specialist, you’ll work side-by-side with clients to help them find, secure, and grow in meaningful employment. You’ll coach, mentor, advocate, and celebrate their wins—big and small.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with clients to explore strengths, interests, and career goals

  • Support job searches, applications, resumes, and interview preparation

  • Provide hands-on, on-the-job coaching and ongoing support

  • Help clients build confidence, independence, and workplace success skills

  • Advocate for client needs, including workplace accommodations when appropriate

  • Build relationships with local employers and create new opportunities

  • Conduct job analyses and ensure strong client-job alignment

  • Collaborate with VR Counselors and provide timely progress updates

  • Transport clients to job sites and support community integration

What You Bring

Required:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to transport clients

  • Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days

  • At least 6 months of experience supporting individuals with disabilities

  • A passion for coaching, mentoring, or teaching others

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Active role involving walking, standing, and sitting throughout the day

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with client mobility when needed
