Synectic Solutions is seeking a Journeyman MBSE Systems Engineer for the Model-Based Systems Engineering Division to support the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office (PMA-265) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. This program provides critical current and future capabilities in the form of total life cycle support management (cradle to grave) for the F/A-18A-D Hornet, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18 G Growler weapons systems. PMA-265 is responsible for acquiring, delivering, and sustaining the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft, ensuring mission success for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aviators,

Salary Range: $107,600.00 - $119,100.00

Responsibilities

  • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.

  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.

  • Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.

  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.

  • Experience with MBSE practices.

  • Expertise in building and assessing systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies to conduct technical assessments and recommendations that inform key technical decisions.

  • Experience with systems engineering analyses and using the results with other engineering models to draw conclusions and optimize performance, schedule, timing, costs, etc.

  • Experience with how system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities are enabled by MBSE across the digital thread (the engineering lifecycle).

  • Requires experience with systems engineering and of model-based methodologies.

  • Experience with the use of modeling languages and frameworks such as UML, SysML, and UAF.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen with Active TS/SCI Clearance.

  • Must have a have a Technical BS or BA degree.

  • Minimum of two (2) years recent and relevant Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology.

  • Experience using MBSE Tools, such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator.

  • Familiarity with interface definition practices and verification fundamentals.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, review-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
