Full job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Utilizes a working knowledge of surgical business processes for all procedures performed in the Operating Room, as well as those procedures outside the Operating Room requiring pediatric anesthesia (i.e. CT, MRI, cardiac catheterization, Radiology, Sharp Operating Room, etc.). Receives and processes information concerning any aspects of the case, and disperses such information in a timely manner. Verifies supplies and equipment prior to and post procedures. Follows up with the appropriate resources regarding changes that must occur to successfully schedule or post-surgical cases.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent

One year of experience

Knowledge of medical and surgical terminology

Ability to type 40 wpm

If experience is not directly related to Surgical Services scheduling and Billing, the one year of experience must be in an acute care hospital within the surgical environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of experience

Excel skills

Experience with 10-key

The current salary range for this position is $23.00 to $28.88
