Job Description
The Electrical Supervisor oversees a team of electricians and technicians, ensuring safe,
efficient, and code-compliant electrical work across projects or facility operations. This role
combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of electrical crews

Review blueprints, schematics, and work orders to plan job execution

Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes

Conduct safety briefings and enforce PPE/lockout-tagout procedures

Inspect completed work for quality and code compliance

Troubleshoot complex electrical systems (power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, etc.)

Train, mentor, and evaluate performance of electricians and apprentices
-
Manage material and tool inventory, order supplies as needed
-
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades

Maintain accurate documentation (permits, inspection reports, timesheets)

Respond to and troubleshoot emergency electrical issues
Skills/Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license (required)

5+ years of electrical experience, including 2+ years in a lead/supervisory role

Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes

Experience with industrial, commercial, or residential systems (specify based on role)

OSHA 10/30 certification preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency reading electrical drawings and schematics

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces

Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
