Job Description

The Electrical Supervisor oversees a team of electricians and technicians, ensuring safe,

efficient, and code-compliant electrical work across projects or facility operations. This role

combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and project coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of electrical crews
  • Review blueprints, schematics, and work orders to plan job execution

  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes

  • Conduct safety briefings and enforce PPE/lockout-tagout procedures

  • Inspect completed work for quality and code compliance

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical systems (power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, etc.)

  • Train, mentor, and evaluate performance of electricians and apprentices

  • Manage material and tool inventory, order supplies as needed

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades

  • Maintain accurate documentation (permits, inspection reports, timesheets)

  • Respond to and troubleshoot emergency electrical issues

Skills/Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license (required)
  • 5+ years of electrical experience, including 2+ years in a lead/supervisory role

  • Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes

  • Experience with industrial, commercial, or residential systems (specify based on role)

  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency reading electrical drawings and schematics

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces

  • Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
