Acxiom is seeking an Expert Decision Support Analyst to support General Motors’ Customer Engagement and Marketing organizations by planning and executing personalized, cross-channel customer campaigns and journeys. This role partners with marketing stakeholders, Marketing Operations, GMIT, Privacy, agencies, vendors, fulfillment teams, and other execution partners to translate business needs into accurate, scalable campaign solutions.

The role combines strong CRM and database-marketing expertise with hands-on campaign operations experience across email, SMS, push, social, web, and related MarTech channels. The successful candidate is a clear communicator, thoughtful problem solver, and collaborative partner who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with marketing stakeholders and partners on campaign strategy, audiences, data requirements, channels, timing, content, delivery, analytics, and measurement.

  • Own or coordinate automated and ad hoc 1:1 marketing programs across email, SMS, push, social, web, and other relevant channels.

  • Help transform traditional campaign plans into personalized, journey-based experiences through journey orchestration, user-flow design, audience logic, personalization, and campaign requirements.

  • Configure and support campaign execution across Adobe Campaign v8, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and other MarTech tools.

  • Gather and document business, technical, data, and campaign requirements; translate them into program logic, data mapping, campaign specifications, and solution enhancements.

  • Partner with Activation, Marketing Operations, GMIT, agencies, vendors, and fulfillment teams on program architecture, system integrations, deployment planning, end-to-end testing, and optimization.

  • Apply data-quality, privacy, governance, and campaign-validation practices to ensure accurate, compliant, and high-quality customer communications.

  • Troubleshoot complex database, campaign, workflow, and delivery issues; recommend practical solutions and implement approved changes.

  • Coordinate brand and corporate Marketing Operations updates, including intake, prioritization, dependencies, timelines, and cross-channel initiatives.

  • Manage multiple programs, lines of business, and stakeholder deadlines while communicating status, risks, decisions, and required changes.

  • Promote effective adoption of MarTech tools, journey-based marketing practices, and practical innovations that improve campaign delivery and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, business, information systems, or a related field.

  • 5 or more years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, campaign management, CRM, database marketing, marketing analytics, account management, or project management.

  • Experience planning and executing 1:1 and omnichannel digital marketing programs across email, SMS, push, social, web, or similar channels.

  • Experience gathering, translating, and documenting business, technical, data, and campaign requirements.

  • Experience with journey orchestration, user-flow design, audience segmentation, data mapping, campaign specifications, and end-to-end testing.

  • Hands-on experience using customer-level event and attribute data for segmentation, targeting, personalization, and measurement.

  • Strong understanding of database marketing, direct and multichannel marketing, lead fulfillment, digital strategy, data segmentation, and data models.

  • Working knowledge of SQL query development or Databricks is required, including the ability to retrieve, validate, segment, and analyze customer data in support of campaign activation. Experience with query-building tools and Adobe or other audience-building platforms is preferred.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, organization, prioritization, relationship-management, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, agencies, vendors, and other partners in a matrixed environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and project, workflow, or work-management tools; ability to learn quickly in an evolving technology ecosystem.

What Will Give You a Competitive Advantage

  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Campaign v8, Adobe Experience Platform, and Adobe Journey Optimizer, including configuring workflows and deploying email and SMS programs.

  • Experience building, debugging, and optimizing workflows or journeys in AEP and/or AJO.

  • Understanding of modern MarTech architecture, including customer data platforms, identity resolution, personalization, attribution, email service providers, and SMS providers.

  • Experience or ability to conduct SQL queries and/or work in Databricks to support audience segmentation, data validation, campaign execution, or performance reporting is a plus.

  • Experience with data privacy and governance, automotive or customer-lifecycle marketing, and coordination of agency, vendor, IT, Privacy, fulfillment, and execution partners.
