Full job description
Buffalo. Flexlume. Fabricator (Signage). $22 - $32/hour. Flexlume Sign Company is a growing commercial sign manufacturer serving both local and national customers. We operate out of a modern 30,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in the Buffalo area and are looking to add an experienced fabricator to our shop team. We are looking for someone who is reliable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of managing fabrication work from drawings through completion. The right candidate should take pride in producing quality work while also working efficiently and meeting expected labor hours. Responsibilities: * Fabricate custom illuminated and non-illuminated signage from aluminum, steel, sheet metal, angle, flat bar, square tube, acrylic, and other materials. * Read and work from fabrication drawings, blueprints, layouts, and job specifications. * Measure, lay out, cut, form, fit, and assemble components to required dimensions. * Weld aluminum and steel components. * Operate shop equipment including shears, brakes, saws, drill presses, punches, form rolls, and standard hand and power tools. * Install LED lighting, power supplies, wiring, and other electrical components used in illuminated signage. * Complete assigned projects from fabrication through final assembly. * Inspect completed work and maintain Flexlume quality standards. * Work efficiently while staying within estimated labor and material requirements. * Maintain an organized and safe work area. Qualifications: * Previous fabrication experience required. * Welding experience required; GMAW aluminum welding experience strongly preferred. * Ability to read a tape measure and fabrication drawings accurately. * Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using fabrication equipment and power tools. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Dependable attendance and attention to detail. * Sign fabrication experience is preferred, but candidates with strong experience in metal fabrication, welding, sheet metal, or similar manufacturing environments will also be considered.
