Project Overview:

The Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) Project is a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility located on the north shore of Corpus Christi Bay in Gregory, Texas. The 1,000+ acre facility started bulk early works in July 2015 as the first greenfield export facility in the United States. Bechtel has successfully and safely completed construction and it now consists of three operating Trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 15 million tons per year (MTPA), three LNG storage tanks with combined capacity of 480,000 cubic meters of LNG, 2 Jetty superstructures that can accommodate the world’s largest vessels, and dozens of associated buildings and utilities.

Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project Stage 3 (CCL3) is a new phase at the existing CCL facility and will consist of seven midscale liquefaction trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 10 MTPA and associated infrastructure including utilities. CCL3 will perform all this work predominantly on a direct hire basis with support from only a few specialty and service subcontractors.

Job Summary:

The Indirects Superintendent will report to the Lead Indirects Superintendent. Supports the Lead Indirects Superintendent in providing direction to the indirects workforce which may be in a single area or across multiple areas. Coordinates with other discipline superintendents within assigned area(s) of operation and, if required, with the client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities. General responsibilities are to ensure assigned indirects operations are compliant with all ES&H policies and procedures, design/specifications, completed on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. This is a nightshift position, but the successful candidate must be willing to also work a flexible schedule including split shift or day shift.

Unless otherwise indicated, applicants for construction positions must have heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken and the requirements identified below. #LI-TH1

Major Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for craft worker safety on the project implementing a Zero Accidents philosophy

• Coordinate direct hire work activities with subcontractor work activities as required

• Ensure that site rigging work activities meet safety and site-specific requirements

• Monitor the plan for project transportation services with the Indirects team.

• Develop forecast labor unit rates, field distributable rates, and construction equipment costs in his area.

• Resolve craft jurisdictional assignments via Labor Relations as required.

• Monitor General Foreman/Foreman and Foreman/Worker ratios on the project and their performance

• Ensure that project automation tools are being effectively used by craft workers on the project

• Approve project schedules and work plans for the work to be performed via the Three Week Lookahead and ensure the P6 Level IV schedule is updated and support the overall project schedule.

• Approve the layout of required temporary construction facilities for the Area

• Monitor the use of calibrated measuring and test equipment on the project and ensure its checked in per policy.

• Approve Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensure that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive

• Develop and implement a plan for system and area turnovers that coordinates the activities of all craft disciplines

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.

• Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.

• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.

• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.

• Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces.

• Some lifting may be required.

• Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).

• Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
