Kennametal's Emerging Leadership Program EMERGE, Kennametal's early-career leadership development program, is focused on building emerging leaders within Kennametal through diverse experiences to expand their perspectives, develop functional expertise, and accelerate career development. EMERGE will equip participants with leadership, professional, and technical skills necessary to drive performance and integration among business functions.This immersive program is 2 years in duration with diverse functional rotations within Kennametal's Operations, Technology, or Commercial business tracks.Participants must be willing to relocate or travel during the program.Post completion of the program, position placement will be into a role based on your strengths and interests, as well as business need at that time. Program Tracks 1. Operations-Our operations team is at the heart of what we do. Focused on manufacturing, this team helps drive the success of our three business segments. 2. Technology - Our Technology Team develops innovative new materials, products, and processes to support our customers and manufacturing teams. 3. Commercial - Our Commercial Team combines a technical and business mindset to deliver the most valuable products, solutions, and know-how to our customers every day. Operations Track Functional opportunities included within Kennametal's Operations Track include but are not limited to: 1. Materials Management 2. Manufacturing Process Improvement 3. Sourcing Technology Track Functional opportunities included within Kennametal's Technology Track include but are not limited to: 1. Material Science - Grade Specification and Development 2. Product Engineering 3. Design Engineering 4. Estimating Engineering 5. Process Development 6. Additive Manufacturing 7. Smart Factory 8. Metrology Process Development 9. Coordinating Product Moves from One Facility to Another 10. Advanced Machining Solutions 11. Manufacturing Process Improvement 12. Project Management Program Highlights 1. 1-week corporate onboarding and assimilation including leadership series, philanthropic activities, introduction to professional development trainings and plant site visits. 2. Formalized mentorship program with a separate career and peer mentor. 3. Robust and rewarding rotations within functional tracks (most rotations will require both corporate and plant assignments). 4. Ongoing learning journey to enhance technical, professional and leadership acumen. 5. Working side-by-side with other professionals at various locations and levels of the organization to develop a strong foundation and skillset. Program Eligibility 1. Completingfinal academic year inone of the areas of study:STEM, Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, Business, or other related field of study 2. Strong organization, facilitation, leadership, project management and communication skills. 3. Strong analytical approach to problem solving. 4.
