Full job description
Overview Help make Azure the easiest cloud platform to discover, try, adopt, and grow with. The core focus of this role is to drive growth across the Azure customer lifecycle by optimizing how customers discover, try, adopt, expand, and retain Azure services through product-led experiences inside Azure surfaces. To succeed, you will need to partner across product management, engineering, design, commerce, sales, support, and marketing to shape a connected customer journey that turns product value into measurable acquisition, activation, conversion, expansion, and retention outcomes. As the Azure Product Led Growth Strategy Lead, you will define and lead the end-to-end product-led growth strategy across the Azure portal customer journey, trial and onboarding experiences, in-product cross-sell and selling motions, conversion-rate optimization, and customer lifecycle and retention. You will translate customer behavior and business signals into a prioritized growth roadmap, establish shared goals and measurement, and mobilize cross-functional teams to remove friction and accelerate customer value realization. This opportunity will allow you to shape a high-impact growth strategy across one of the world’s leading cloud platforms, deepen your expertise in product experience and experimentation, and build repeatable growth mechanisms that scale across Azure services and customer segments. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Own the Azure product-led growth vision, strategy, operating model, and multi-horizon roadmap, connecting customer outcomes with business priorities across acquisition, activation, conversion, expansion, and retention.

- Define and improve Azure trial and onboarding motions, including audience strategy, value realization milestones, first-run experiences, guided setup, education, nurture, and progression from trial to paid usage.
- Develop in-product cross-sell and selling strategies that use customer context, intent, eligibility, and usage signals to recommend relevant Azure services while protecting trust, experience quality, and long-term customer value.
- Build a disciplined conversion-rate optimization and experimentation program, including hypotheses, funnel instrumentation, test prioritization, guardrail metrics, learning agendas, and mechanisms to scale proven improvements.
- Create a lifecycle and retention strategy that identifies leading indicators of engagement, adoption, expansion, churn, and reactivation, and translates them into coordinated product and marketing interventions.
- Create, measure, and report on the KPI required to succeed and improve in each of the above responsibilities – making data driven decisions and supporting an experimentation information loop.
- Coach and influence cross-functional teams, establish executive-ready reporting and decision forums, and communicate insights, tradeoffs, results, and investment recommendations to senior stakeholders.
