Location: Syracuse, NYClient: SUNY Upstate Medical UniversityJob Type: ContractPay Rate: $58.69/hourSchedule: MondayFriday | 7:30 AM4:00 PM ### Position OverviewESO Consultants is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join the Breast Imaging team at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.The Mammography Technologist will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations, assist with stereotactic breast procedures, and provide compassionate patient care while maintaining imaging quality, safety, and regulatory standards. ### Key Responsibilities * Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations. * Assist with stereotactic breast imaging and related procedures. * Position patients and obtain high-quality diagnostic images. * Evaluate images for technical quality before submission for interpretation. * Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and privacy. * Perform and document required mammography quality control procedures. * Maintain accurate patient and imaging records within RIS and related systems. * Follow MQSA, ACR, state, and federal requirements. * Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities. ### Requirements * Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent. * Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration or eligibility. * Current ARRT Certification in Mammography (ARRT-M). * Current CPR Certification. * Minimum 1 year of progressive mammography experience. * Strong knowledge of mammography procedures, positioning, radiation safety, and breast imaging protocols. ### Preferred Qualifications * Experience with Hologic Mammography Systems. * Experience with Hologic Selenia Dimensions. * Experience performing stereotactic breast biopsy procedures. * Hospital-based or high-volume breast imaging experience. * Experience with EHR/RIS systems. ### Compensation & Benefits * $58.69/hour * MondayFriday, 7:30 AM4:00 PM * Contract healthcare assignment * Medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible positions * Paid time off and holidays * Professional development and training opportunities
