The Opportunity:

CACI’s National Mission Systems (NMS) group is seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Lead to support mission‑critical environments by ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure across cloud and bare‑metal systems. This role puts you at the center of delivering a secure, resilient cutting‑edge ground infrastructure housing mission critical space-based applications. You will shape how national security missions are executed from space to ground using modern deployment approaches and emerging technologies.

This position will be onsite at a CACI facility in Sterling, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplined infrastructure team of approximately 15 engineers
  • Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of services

  • Develop and maintain governance policies and best practices

  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Solid understanding of Automated Infrastructure configuration management

  • Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting and resolution

  • Understanding in the design, implementation, procurement, tradecraft, or maintenance of various layers of network infrastructure

  • Provide escalation support and communicate incident status to management and customers

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external service providers, and customers

  • Ensure compliance with government IT and security policies, including cross‑security domain requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, network architecture, and development environments.

  • Proven experience with Linux system administration.

  • Experience with information security and compliance with government policies.

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and security (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls)

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git)

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities

  • CISSP or Security+ certification (or comparable information security certification)

Desired:

  • Full systems lifecycle experience

  • Experience with DevOps processes and tools

Pay Range :

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$120,800 - $265,800
