Full job description

About Us

Narmi is how community financial institutions unlock the very latest capabilities in digital banking, account opening, and lending so they can move faster, tap new growth opportunities, and be where banking is going. Since our founding, Narmi has enabled the movement of billions of dollars and the opening of hundreds of thousands of accounts for banks and credit unions across the U.S. The results speak for themselves: our customers have grown deposits, revenue, and customer satisfaction, with one of the first institutions powered by Narmi recognized by Bankrate and NerdWallet for delivering the #1 digital banking experience in the country.

About the Growth team: The Growth Team is Narmi’s sales department and leads the charge in growing the size and value of Narmi’s customer base. When banks and credit unions want to learn about Narmi and how we can transform their digital experiences, they come to us. Narmi Business Development Representatives are responsible for having a deep understanding of Narmi products, and demonstrating, evangelizing, and explaining all of the capabilities that Narmi can offer to our prospective customers.

As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a high-energy, results-driven BDR to join our team and play a key role in generating pipeline for our sales organization. If you’re passionate about fintech, technology, and making an impact, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

  • Prospect & Generate Leads – Identify and engage potential customers (banks, credit unions) through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn networking, and other channels
  • Hunter Role - Effort and outreach to targeted accounts to identify key players and timing for product evaluations
  • Qualify Opportunities – Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects' challenges, pain points, and needs, ensuring alignment with our solutions
  • Set Up Meetings & Demos – Book qualified meetings for Growth Executives (GEs) by creating interest and positioning our value proposition effectively
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Sales – Work closely with marketing to optimize lead-generation campaigns and sales teams to refine outreach strategies
  • Use Sales Tech Stack – Leverage CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), sales engagement platforms, and automation tools to track activities, follow-ups, and performance
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends – Keep up with digital banking, fintech, and SaaS trends to engage prospects with relevant insights
  • Update and leverage Narmi's CRM to effectively track and manage potential customers
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Narmi Platform and its key differentiators
  • Report on Narmi's prospecting performance and identifying potential optimizations
  • Achieve monthly quotas of qualified opportunities
  • Attend and represent Narmi at bank and credit union conferences, as needed, and scheduling meetings with decision makers

What You'll Bring:

  • 1-3+ years of sales or business development experience
  • A track record of building a sales pipeline and strong prospecting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong problem solving skills
  • Motivation, eagerness to learn, and a self-starting attitude
  • Good time management, and strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • The ability to travel for conferences and trade shows

The expected annual base salary for this role is $60,000 - $70,000, in addition to base this position will be eligible for an annual variable compensation plan. This role offers an equity option grant and eligibility for performance-based cash and equity bonuses. Compensation included in an offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for candidates located outside of New York City may differ. You will also receive a full benefits package.

At Narmi, how we work is just as important as what we build. We call this The Narmi Standard:

  • High Ceiling: You go beyond the obvious, take initiative, and hold yourself to high standards with care.
  • Low Ego: You put the mission above ourselves, share credit freely, and lead with curiosity.
  • Alignment to Mission: You believe that helping community financial institutions win against Mega Banks and FinTechs is a worthy endeavor, and will use that belief as a northstar to anchor your efforts to that goal.
  • High Commitment: You follow through, roll up your sleeves, and keep the bar high for yourself and others.

We believe that high-performing teams include people from different backgrounds and experiences who can challenge each other's assumptions with fresh perspectives. To that end, we actively seek a diverse pool of applicants, including those from historically marginalized groups.

Please note that all correspondence related to this role will come directly from Narmi (email addresses ending in @narmi.com or @narmitech.com), and not from a third party. If you receive correspondence from an individual claiming to represent Narmi please let us know immediately at [email protected]
