  • Identify and implement continuous improvement and standardization projects across the PET focused on OEE, equipment reliability, and scrap reduction.

  • Monitor equipment and systems for performance and problem indicators and act on early signs of degradation before they cause downtime.

  • Analyze trends in equipment and process data to identify root causes, solutions, and improvements.

  • Use a variety of testing, tools, and measuring equipment to complete emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance on process-related equipment and systems used within the PET. Inspect, test, adjust, repair and perform line turnarounds, changeovers, and preventive maintenance in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Support deviation and technical investigations and studies.

  • Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to complete documentation and required functions to close out activities in compliance with cGMPs.

  • Review repetitive equipment breakdowns, evaluate existing PMs for effectiveness, recommend and initiate activities to increase equipment uptime.

  • Monitor work order backlog, track equipment history, spare part inventory, and spare part usage.

  • Work with teams to develop and revise standardized job plans and troubleshooting job aids.

  • Train and provide on-shift technical guidance to Operators, Mechanics, and Maintenance Technicians on equipment, systems, procedures, and processes, including when equipment or system issues arise.

Experience & Education

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a regulated production environment, specifically responsible for equipment maintenance and performance.

  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to share technical knowledge and guide others through equipment issues.

  • Flexibility to adjust shift schedule to support 24/7 operations.

  • Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Ability to self-direct and prioritize work based on equipment performance data and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, mechatronics) or equivalent vocational/trade certification.

  • 3+ years of experience maintaining equipment in a regulated (cGMP) manufacturing environment.

  • Expertise in at least one of the following: automation/controls, assembly/packaging/visual inspection equipment, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting.

  • Extensive experience reading and understanding systems and equipment technical and maintenance documentation.

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodology – Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or equivalent.

  • Ability to challenge and adapt current approaches/ways of working.
