Robert Half is partnering with a well-established aerospace and defense manufacturer in Inglewood, CA that is seeking a Sourcing Buyer IV for a temporary assignment with strong potential for permanent hire. This is a 100% onsite position with a highly respected organization supporting critical military and aerospace programs.

We're looking for an experienced sourcing and procurement professional who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and bring expertise in supplier management, machining, fabrication, and defense-related purchasing.

Pay DOE – average is $45-55/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure machined, fabricated, and finished components

• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and KPI metrics

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and favorable purchasing terms

• Evaluate vendor capabilities, bids, and quality standards

• Develop sourcing strategies that support cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals

• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and leadership teams

• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Support procurement activities for aerospace and defense manufacturing programs

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or related field

• 7+ years of purchasing and sourcing experience

• Aerospace or Defense industry procurement experience required

• Strong background purchasing machined and fabricated components

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings

• Experience working with FAR/DFARS requirements

• ERP system experience

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work independently and drive results
