A Typical Day

The Vice President General Accounting is responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining financial analytics and reporting to support the Companies’ financial products and determine the impact on Corporate Accounting. As the VP General Accounting , you will also be responsible for accurately performing time-sensitive duties with accountability and flexibility, utilizing strategic/critical thinking and demonstrating appropriate organizational and prioritization skills to accomplish goals and objectives.

The VP General Accounting will :

  • Evaluate financial products and report on the impact of new business lines and products to Corporate Accounting

  • Coordinate with unit managers regarding their variance analysis and summarize into monthly senior management reporting

  • Facilitate integration of new business lines and products into departmental operations, including preparation of complex general ledger entries and process flow documentation

  • Perform analysis and reporting to support ad hoc management and compliance requests

  • Identify opportunities for accounting process efficiencies including technology solutions

  • Support preparation of SEC and regulatory financial reporting packages and statements for parent and subsidiary

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience

  • Must be strong to advanced in Excel (complex formulas and pivot tables)

  • Must be proficient with Visio and PowerPoint

  • MS SQL skills beneficial, not required

  • Public Accounting experience beneficial, not required

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

Salary

$95,000 - $155,000
