Job Summary

The QCC Operations Engineering Manager Lead operations engineering across the QCC network (East and West regions), owning asset lifecycle planning, contract maintenance strategy, CMMS execution, and mechanic development. The role drives proactive reliability ownership and converts operating data into center-level action.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

Asset Planning & Replacement

  • Maintain an asset database with estimated end-of-life for all assets.
  • Build replacement CAPEX strategy with Engineering across 1–3 year and 3–7 year horizons.
  • Use site visits to confirm assets are reflected in planning and the CMMS.
  • Develop and implement corporate and QCC-level critical spare parts strategies.
  • Contract Maintenance Strategy & Execution
  • Define which assets are maintained in-house by PJFS versus outsourced.
  • Determine and negotiate national contracts; support QCC-level contract negotiation.
  • Establish standards and qualifications for third-party work.
  • CMMS Strategy & Execution
  • Standardize location and asset hierarchy across all QCCs and ensure full asset coverage in the CMMS.
  • Ensure proper PMs on all equipment and update network PMs based on RCA findings.
  • Develop and distribute maintenance performance scorecards and a proactive maintenance strategy.

Mechanic Development

  • Improve the Skill-Based Pay program and drive adoption at all QCCs.
  • Create processes for continuous technician training.
  • Use CMMS, contract work, and equipment data to build staffing models.

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • Own proactive reliability: redeploy CMMS, rebuild PM structure, and lead center capital projects.
  • Establish standard operating venues and consistent data-review cadences across QCCs, then scale problem-solving and improvement routines.

Education, Experience & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in industrial/distribution maintenance or reliability engineering, including people or matrixed team leadership.
  • Deep hands-on CMMS experience (implementation, hierarchy design, PM programs, reporting).
  • Demonstrated CAPEX planning and multi-year asset replacement strategy ownership.
  • Contract negotiation and third-party vendor management experience.
  • Strong RCA/problem-solving discipline and continuous improvement background.
  • Ability to travel to QCC sites across an assigned region.
