The Supervisory Diversion Investigator (Senior Advisor) position is open in the following location(s): .Arlington, Virginia Among other duties, this position will support: Serving in dedicated capacity to provide expertise on board Diversion regulatory compliance and enforcement, and public health and safety. Consolidating initiatives, priorities, and tasks across Diversion Control Regulatory, Operations and Policy Offices. Providing regulatory and operational support to DEA's executive leaders in the Field and Foreign offices that support the Diversion Control Program (DCP). Applying effective utilization of personnel and financial resources. Interpreting and disseminating communications both externally and internally. Qualifications
GS-15: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level or pay band in the Federal service that includes performing the following duties: 1) Developing formal reports, studies and guidance on ways to improve administrative investigative processes and procedures; 2) Conducting outreach and engagement with organizational leaders and personnel; 3) Developing proposals to restructure personnel procedures and organizational processes; 4) Presenting and consulting executive leadership and staff on operational priorities and policy changes; and 5) Developing responses and guidance to address sensitive public media and publications. Your promotion eligibility will be evaluated based on the criteria in the DI Career Progression Guide: GS14 must serve three to four years in a domestic office as a GS-14 DI before being considered for another field supervisory position (domestic/foreign). GS14 promoted into HQ - must serve a minimum of three years before they can transfer to the field to complete field tour. GS14 promoted to a Foreign position - must complete their foreign tour; required to fulfill minimum of two years in domestic office prior to rotation to HQ. GS14 HQ employees only: can apply 120 days prior to the completion of the DEA HQs three-year assignment; if selected; reporting date would be no earlier than the completion of the three-year assignment. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement.
