This role directly enhances Navy mission readiness by ensuring high‑fidelity modeling, simulation accuracy, and system performance verification for combat systems deployed across Navy surface combatants, including DDG, LHD, LHA, and CVN platforms.

This position requires an active Interim Secret clearance to begin, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret. The role is based in Washington, DC, with local travel to test sites.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Program Office management support for T&E and modeling & simulation activities.

  • Apply advanced modeling techniques and combat system performance modeling to support mission and operational requirements for AEGIS and SSDS.

  • Develop Developmental Tests (DT) from formal requirements for integration into the Unified TestBed.

  • Conduct systems‑of‑systems analysis, operational assessments, trade studies, test planning and execution, and system verification & validation (V&V) activities.

  • Analyze test planning documents, establishing clear Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) that align with operational performance expectations.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders including Operational Test & Evaluation Force (OTF) to ensure simulation outputs accurately reflect Navy live‑fire performance data.

  • Develop tailored TestBed solutions alongside engineers to address unique Navy requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Navy combat systems, including hands-on involvement with AEGIS, SSDS, or related Navy combat system programs.

  • Experience in systems engineering disciplines, including systems‑of‑systems analysis, combat system performance modeling, system verification & validation, and test planning and execution.

  • Prior exposure to Fleet operations or Navy surface combatants (DDG, LHD, LHA, CVN), including:

  • Warfare system certification events

  • Live‑fire test event support

  • Operational Test Readiness (OTR) and Operational Test Direction (OTD) coordination

  • Experience collaborating with Operational Test & Evaluation Force (OTF) or equivalent test organizations.

  • Familiarity with high‑fidelity simulation tools, TestBed architectures, DOORS, Agile/SAFe, configuration management, and data analysis tools (MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (Interim required to start).

  • Ability to travel annually to Japan, South Korea, Australia, or Spain is required. Must have a US Passport.
