JOB REQUIREMENTS: Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an M&A associate with 4-8 years of relevant experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in any of our U.S. offices. Foley's nationally integrated Transactions Practice Group advises publicly and privately held middle market and upper middle market companies, private equity sponsors, and other investors on a broad range of strategic transactions. This role is focused primarily on U.S. and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, with a significant emphasis on private equity-driven transactions. The position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-profile matters as part of a collaborative national platform, partnering closely with attorneys across offices and practice disciplines to deliver practical business solutions for clients. Qualified candidates will have substantial experience representing clients in complex corporate M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, and related strategic transactions. An interest in business development and building long-term client relationships is also valued. Foley is committed to fostering a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment where associates have meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and opportunities for professional growth. This role is well suited for attorneys seeking to deepen an M&A-focused practice while working alongside experienced deal lawyers on a diverse mix of private equity and strategic transactions across industries. We value collegiality, intellectual curiosity, and a practical approach to client service, and we strive to provide a professional environment that supports long-term career development. Strong academic credentials are required. Applicants must hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be active members in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
