Full job description

We're looking for a sharp, high-energy generalist who can be the operational backbone of the company. This is a role for someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do; you see a gap, and you fill it. One day you're coordinating a board presentation, the next you're screening candidates, and the day after you're reconciling expense reports. If wearing multiple hats excites you more than it exhausts you, read on.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Office Administration and Events:

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, vendor relationships, and facility needs across Mumbai / Bengaluru.
  • Arrange accommodation, travel, and logistics for the team, guests, and visiting stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute team events, off-sites, and client-facing meetups end to end.

Recruitment and People Operations:

  • Own the recruitment pipeline: source candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage offer rollouts.
  • Drive candidate engagement; keep communication warm, timely, and on-brand.
  • Support onboarding, employee documentation, attendance tracking, and day-to-day HR queries.
  • Help build a positive, high-performance culture as the team scales.

Finance, Compliance, and Reporting:

  • Track and reconcile expenses, manage invoices, and maintain clean financial records.
  • Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and variance analyses for leadership and investors.
  • Create polished board presentations, investor updates, and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and statutory bodies as needed.
  • Support regulatory and compliance filings relevant to the business.

General and Ad Hoc:

  • Be the go-to person for someone who needs to figure out these problems.
  • Identify process gaps and build lightweight systems (spreadsheets, trackers, SOPs) to fix them.
  • Collaborate closely with founders to keep the operational engine running smoothly.

Requirements:

  • CA Intermediate (preferred) or a Commerce / MBA graduate with strong financial acumen.
  • 3-7 years of experience in operations, finance, HR, or a generalist role; startup experience is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional with numbers and comfortable building reports, models, and presentations from scratch.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you can draft a board note and a WhatsApp update with equal ease.
  • Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace; bonus points for familiarity with tools like Tally, Zoho, Slack, or Notion.
  • High energy, resourceful, and smart, you figure things out before anyone asks you to.
