Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist - Consumer Packaged Goods
Location: Ontario, CA
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $70,000
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40.0
Overview
Join our client as a Quality Assurance Specialist, serving as the primary Quality and regulatory resource for a growing consumer products organization. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet FDA regulations, GMP requirements, retailer compliance standards, and quality expectations across Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GMP requirements, labeling standards, and retailer compliance guidelines

Coordinate third-party laboratory testing programs and review test results
-
Support FDA registrations, regulatory submissions, and compliance documentation
-
Qualify suppliers and oversee GMP and social compliance audits
-
Manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs and quality deviations
-
Lead quality and compliance activities associated with new product launches
-
Review product ingredients, labels, packaging, and claims for regulatory compliance
-
Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary process updates
-
Serve as the primary quality and regulatory contact for retail customers

Maintain private-label, retailer, and regulatory documentation
-
Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and Suppliers

Provide project status updates and proactively mitigate compliance risks
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, or a related field
-
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Regulatory Compliance

Strong experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)

Strong understanding of FDA regulations, GMP requirements, and compliance programs

Excellent root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills

Strong organizational and project management abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
