Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries has a Senior Engineer opportunity at the Malta, NY site for a Production Control & Planning. The role supports production planning, new product introduction execution, and data-driven manufacturing improvements in a high-volume semiconductor environment.
Essential Responsibilities include:

Work with the Production Control and Planning team to support new product introduction and manufacturing execution initiatives.

Analyze production data and develop reporting tools that improve delivery performance and operational decision making.

Collaborate with Customer Engineering, Integration and Line Control teams to ensure successful product launches and factory readiness.

Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing excellence.

Support AI & Data driven analytics to initiate key decision making to meet business needs leveraging Microsoft Suite (Cowork, Copilot, PBI, Excel), SQL and Python.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
-
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field from an accredited degree program.

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in semiconductor industry

Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Travel - Up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Prior related internship or co-op experience.
-
Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
-
Project management skills and the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Strong planning and organizational skills.
-
Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and manufacturing systems.
-
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Expected Salary Range
$69,000.00 - $120,000.00
