Job Description
One of Insight Global's clients is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer supporting data platforms with a data science & insights department. The primary mission is to build and support the SAP analytical data layer in BDC/Datasphere, from S/4 extraction through governed analytical models and data products consumed by SAC and shared downstream.
Responsibilities:
Consume SAP data products; build/repoint Datasphere artifacts; create integrated and analytical models; configure and support replication/transformation flows; validate source-to-target reconciliation; expose governed models to SAC and Databricks; document dependencies and deployment steps.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 8+ years related experience and/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5+ years SAP data/warehouse engineering with meaningful recent Datasphere or Data Warehouse Cloud implementation experience.
- Hands-on SAP Datasphere development; graphical and SQL views; analytical models; replication and transformation flows; SAP S/4 data structures and CDS views; ODP/extraction and CDC concepts; HANA SQL; data modeling; security/space concepts; transports and lifecycle management. SAP BDC Cockpit; BW/4HANA or BW Bridge; BW Model Transfer; HANA calculation views; HDI containers/stored procedures; Delta Sharing; CTMS; custom CDS development and ATC awareness.
