Tax Associate (Seasonal)

H&R Block is hiring seasonal Tax Associates for offices in Chelmsford, Lowell, Dracut & Tewksbury. With training and support from day one, youll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and strong client relationships.\ - Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.\ - Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.\ - Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.\ - Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.\ - Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.\ - Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.\ Required Qualifications\ - Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course 1 (No Previous Experience Needed!)\ - Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.\ - Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.\ - Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.\ - High school diploma / GED/ equivalent\ Preferred Qualifications\ - Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field\ - Experience in a client-facing or consultative role, such as financial advising, insurance, retail sales, or professional services.\ - Experience asking questions and recommending solutions based on customer needs.\ - Ability to work 1535 hours per week, with availability up to 40 hours during peak periods.\ - Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season.
