Position Overview

As a Finance & Accounting Business Development & Recruiting Manager, you will play a dual role focused on driving new business growth while identifying and placing top accounting and finance talent with organizations throughout the market. This position combines consultative sales, relationship management, and recruiting expertise to deliver talent solutions that help clients achieve their business objectives.

Key responsibilities include developing new client relationships, expanding business with existing accounts, conducting virtual and in-person meetings to understand hiring needs, and serving as a trusted advisor on talent market trends. You will also recruit, assess, and match accounting and finance professionals with full-time career opportunities while providing an exceptional experience for both clients and candidates.

In this role, you will actively build your professional network, participate in industry associations, leverage market intelligence, and create long-term partnerships within the local finance and accounting community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a portfolio of new and existing client relationships through proactive business development activities.

  • Conduct virtual, telephone, and in-person meetings to identify hiring challenges and deliver tailored talent solutions.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing insights on workforce trends, compensation, and hiring strategies.

  • Recruit, evaluate, and place accounting and finance professionals in permanent positions.

  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through networking, referrals, and market engagement.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and consistent communication throughout the hiring process.

  • Guide candidates through career opportunities and provide consultative career advice.

  • Participate in professional organizations, networking events, and industry associations to expand market presence and generate business opportunities.

  • Collaborate across teams to maximize client relationships and drive revenue growth.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA and/or MBA preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, public accounting, consultative sales, staffing, recruiting, or a combination of these areas.

  • Demonstrated success in business development, relationship management, recruiting, or client-facing professional services.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of achieving goals and building relationships.

  • Ability to leverage accounting and finance knowledge to advise clients and identify talent solutions.

  • Results-oriented with a high sense of urgency and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
