Job Duties
This position supports the preparation and deployment readiness of connected dish machines. The IOT Technician will perform hands-on equipment checks, use approved technology tools to confirm configuration and connectivity, document results, and help resolve issues to support consistent deployment quality. This role is part of a pioneering process that will be recreated and implemented in other locations.
Key Responsibilities
Review and validate equipment connectivity to the gateway and sign off on process completion.
Support the setup, verification, and deployment readiness of connected equipment.
Confirm equipment, software, and connectivity are configured and functioning as expected.
Use approved tools and processes to validate readiness and document results.
Maintain accurate records related to equipment preparation, configuration, and quality checks.
Troubleshoot setup, configuration, and connectivity issues with plant resources, then document and escalate as needed.
Communicate recurring issues, trends, and improvement opportunities to appropriate teams.
Collaborate with plant, technical support, and digital operations teams to improve deployment quality and consistency.
Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in technical operations, equipment preparation, inventory, fulfillment, or related technical support work. Experience with hands-on device repair or validation is necessary.
Technical Skills: A background in hardware with some software knowledge. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, configuration, or connectivity issues. Proficiency using computer systems for configuration, diagnostics, and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a technical, operational, manufacturing, or service support environment.
Foundational IT skills, including the ability to use technology tools and follow technical procedures.
Ability to learn processes quickly and improve them.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and remote teams.
Ability to identify recurring issues, summarize findings, and communicate recommendations.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Work Environment
This role is performed in a warehouse-type setting and involves hands-on work with equipment. The environment may have exposure to dust, noise, and odors. This position requires being on-site five days a week.
