As a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to transforming the lives of patients with serious and rare diseases, you'll be part of a community that prioritizes the human experience, celebrates curiosity, and values every person's contributions to meaningful progress. That commitment has earned us recognition as Science magazine's No. 1 Top Employer for five consecutive years, certification as a Great Place to Work in the U.S., and a place on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list in the UK.

For patients, for each other, and for the future of science, we're in. Are you?

About the Role:

We're looking for an Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison (PAH, IPF, PPF) on the Medical Affairs team to help us expand what's possible for patients with serious and rare diseases. Reporting to the Medical Affairs Leadership, you'll develop and maintain professional relationships with external healthcare practitioners, deliver comprehensive medical and scientific support across PAH, IPF, and PPF, and serve as a trusted field-based expert connecting HCP insights with Insmed's research and commercial strategy. This is a non-supervisory role and will cover Michigan, Indiana.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape and advance the scientific conversation around PAH, IPF, and PPF by building credible relationships with leading healthcare professionals and translating field insights into meaningful action. You'll also:

Engage in scientific exchanges with physicians and allied health professionals on disease education, product information, and emerging research in Insmed's therapeutic areas

Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with Medical Experts, Key Opinion Leaders, investigators, and HCPs at Centers of Excellence and Academic Medical Centers

Present clinical and scientific data on Insmed products to physicians, academic institutions, researchers, and allied healthcare professionals in alignment with all Insmed policies

Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Commercial (Key Account Directors and Sales), R&D, and Clinical Operations to align on scientific strategy and respond to customer needs

Implement Advisory Boards and scientific forums to gather and synthesize critical HCP insights and deliver them back to Insmed

Support clinical development programs, including trial site identification, recruitment, and issue resolution, as requested by R&D, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs

Provide medical and scientific support to payers, managed markets, and healthcare organizations to facilitate appropriate patient access to Insmed therapies

Deliver disease-state and product training to internal colleagues and maintain accurate, timely documentation of all field activities within assigned budget parameters

Who You Are:

You have an advanced degree in the life sciences (PharmD, PhD, MD, or NP/PA) and a minimum of 5 years of MSL experience; OR equivalent combination of advanced degree and strong related field medical experience.

You are or you also have:

An excellent command of the English language. Effective presentation skills and advanced proficiency in interpersonal skills (listening, probing, persuasiveness, negotiation) are essential for engaging successfully and productively with HCPs, external customers, field colleagues, and internal partners

Skilled in conflict resolution and problem solving

Knowledge of the PhRMA code of conduct, the Sunshine Act, HIPAA regulations, Promotional Regulations, and all laws and regulations that are applicable to the role

Steadfast ethical standard and conduct

Ability to quickly understand and dialogue on subjects that are at the interface between medicine and policy which are relevant to Insmed's areas of interest (disease condition, patient reported outcomes, competitive pipelines and lifecycle plans, medical and pharmacy benefits, quality programs, etc.)

Committed to self-improvement
