Full job description
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Timely preparation of monthly/annual internal financial reporting packages for the Manitou North America entities following the Manitou Group Financial Guidelines. Analyze and report financial trends through analysis of financial statements and research the root cause of the trend. Complete Intergroup reconciliations for the month-end close and coordinate with other entities if any discrepancies are found. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for other assigned accounts. Work cross functionally with other finance departments on joint projects. Analyze and account for expense reports in accordance with company policy and ensure compliance by employees. Perform additional duties as assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: CPA with public accounting or manufacturing company experience is preferred, but not required. Accounting Understanding of accounting concepts for both US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Familiarity with the differences between US GAAP and IFRS. Previous experience in accounting for a company with a foreign parent company is preferred. EXPERTISE: Knowledge of ERP systems and Consolidation software. Problem Solving Ability to identify problems and work with the Controller and other colleagues to provide specific solutions that resolve the problem. Attention to Detail Ability to thoroughly analyze and identify outliers or errors in data sets.
