Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Hayward, California and help maintain dependable financial records while supporting daily accounting operations. This position plays an important role in the monthly close process, financial compliance, and audit readiness, working closely with leadership to keep reporting accurate and timely. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to partner effectively with teams across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Record recurring and nonrecurring journal entries each month, including accruals, amortization activity, and depreciation for fixed assets.

• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues to preserve the accuracy of financial data.

• Contribute to an efficient month-end close by completing assigned tasks on schedule and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.

• Assemble supporting schedules, account analyses, and requested documentation for internal reviews and external audit activities.

• Oversee compliance-related accounting tasks tied to sales tax, payroll tax, information reporting, and business licensing obligations.

• Help uphold accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards across routine financial processes.

• Participate in ERP-related workflows, reporting activities, and system-based accounting processes that support the finance function.

• Provide additional accounting support and complete other responsibilities as business needs evolve. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience with an ERP or accounting platform such as SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or a comparable system is required.

• Experience with SAP Business One is preferred.

• Background supporting ERP implementation efforts is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Familiarity with pricing analysis, customer quoting, margin evaluation, and cost-based pricing methods is strongly preferred.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
