Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Shift: Hours: 9-5 and 1 hour for lunch from 11:30 to 12:30

What’s a typical day as Insurance Policy Clerk? You’ll be:
-
Familiarizing yourself with Auto and Home insurance carriers and underwriting guidelines
-
Writing business in Home and Auto insurance lines; preparing quote sheets for Commercial lines
-
Providing professional and courteous customer service by phone and in person
-
Handling quotes, endorsements, and payments for Home, Auto, Boat, Motorcycle insurance policies
-
Managing receipts on insurance and rental payments, and making daily bank deposits
-
Logging every call, payment, transaction, and document into a data management system
-
Comparing premiums for agency-billed and direct-billed clients and requoting as needed
-
Assisting with rental payments and applications for prospective tenants
-
Performing secretarial duties, managing messages and tasks, and supporting office management
-
Managing affairs in the absence of management and assisting with incidentals as needed
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

Have prior experience or strong interest in insurance policy administration (Home, Auto, Commercial lines)

Possess excellent phone and people skills with a professional and kind demeanor

Are detail-oriented and adept at managing data and documentation accurately
-
Have basic knowledge of office administration and are comfortable with multi-tasking
-
Are willing to grow into prospecting and lead generation once licensed

Can work full-time hours, Monday through Friday (9am-5pm)
