Full job description
A local manufacturer is seeking a skilled Tool Maker for their current temporary to hire opening. This position offers an hourly rate of $20 - $27/hr. with a 1st or 2nd shift schedule. See details below and if you feel like this would be a great fit for you, then apply today! The Tool Maker is responsible for all aspects of build and final assembly of progressive dies and fixtures. The successful candidate must be able to: * Work in all aspects of tool and die manufacturing with little to no supervision. * Operate all tool room equipment including CNC machines. * Troubleshoot most tooling issues or problems. * Work in close tolerances +/-.0002. * May be required to supervise subordinate level machinist. * Identify opportunities to improve products or reduce costs.Qualifications: * High School Math and English equivalent; * Three (3) or more years in a Machining or similar environment; * Mechanical aptitude; * Be able to use of measuring devises like micrometers and verniers; * Dedicated to the work with good attention to detail; * Good time management skills.
