Being a Maintenance Specialist at Devereux has its Advantages

You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. Duties include but not limited:

  • Responds appropriately to emergencies and follows all safety policies and procedures.

  • Identifies and corrects potential safety hazards and ensures compliance with Devereux policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility equipment, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, lighting, and general mechanical work. Safely operates tools and equipment and keeps accurate maintenance records.

  • Participates in fire drills, evacuation drills, generator testing, environmental monitoring, and other safety activities.

  • Maintains facilities and equipment in safe, functional condition and responds promptly to emergency maintenance needs.

  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certification or special training in a specific area of competency. Proficient computer skills. Valid driver license must be maintained

  • Three to five (3-5) years in facility maintenance.
