Description

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly organized and data-driven Technical Project Manager to support critical web transformation initiatives. This individual will serve as the operational backbone of the web strategy team, driving large-scale website and digital experience projects while partnering closely with engineering, marketing, content, design, and product stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has experience leading complex web and digital marketing projects, understands how to bridge technical and creative teams, and has successfully managed website migrations, SEO initiatives, and modern web platform implementations. This is a highly visible role that requires exceptional communication, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate teams across multiple time zones and cultures.

A strong engineering foundation is important, but candidates must also bring hands-on experience supporting marketing and digital initiatives. Purely technical project management backgrounds without web or digital experience will not be a fit.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale web initiatives, including website modernization and migration projects.

  • Drive a major website transformation effort involving a transition from WordPress to a headless architecture, with a focus on SEO and emerging AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategies.

  • Partner closely with engineering, web development, marketing, content, design, and leadership teams to align priorities and ensure successful delivery.

  • Manage project intake, scope definition, prioritization, resource allocation, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication.

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, retrospectives, and release planning.

  • Break down large initiatives into actionable workstreams, user stories, and sprint deliverables.

  • Build and maintain project plans, dashboards, reports, and metrics that provide visibility into project health and team performance.

  • Administer and optimize project management workflows within Jira and ClickUp.

  • Analyze performance data and project metrics to improve team efficiency, delivery velocity, and operational processes.

  • Collaborate effectively with distributed teams across North America and international locations.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management or Technical Project Management experience.

  • Experience leading WordPress-to-headless CMS migrations or similar web modernization efforts.

  • Prior engineering or software development background.

  • Proven experience managing complex web, digital, or website-focused projects.

  • Experience partnering directly with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience supporting multiple project lifecycles.

  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing delivery across cross-functional teams.

  • Background supporting digital marketing, website, SEO, content management, or customer-facing web initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience using Jira and ClickUp for project tracking, workflow management, dashboard creation, and reporting.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach to project execution and decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and familiarity with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization).

  • PMP, Scrum Master, or similar project management certifications.

  • Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones.

  • Experience in B2B software, SaaS, digital agencies, or enterprise technology environments.

***Please note: This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite/week in Sandy Springs, GA. Do not apply to this posting if you're not already local to metro Atlanta and willing to work a hybrid schedule. No exceptions will be made!
