Description:

We are seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst – SBOM & Open Source Compliance to join our Software Asset Management team. This role will be responsible for supporting and advancing our Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) program, software compliance initiatives, software lifecycle management, normalization activities, and unauthorized software remediation efforts.

Rate: $60 - $74 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

This is a highly collaborative position that sits at the intersection of Software Asset Management, Cybersecurity, Open Source Governance, DevSecOps, and Compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software supply chains, SBOM standards, open-source licensing, and software asset management practices.

You will partner closely with Development, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Legal, Procurement, Vendor Management, and Risk teams to improve visibility into software components, licensing obligations, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements across the organization.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), software licensing, software governance, compliance, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs) and software supply chain concepts.

  • Knowledge of open-source software licensing and compliance requirements.

  • Understanding of package ecosystems and dependency management, including npm, Maven, PyPI, NuGet, and containerized environments.

  • Experience with software lifecycle management, discovery, normalization, licensing, entitlement management, and compliance analysis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to reconcile data across multiple systems.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical and compliance findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Cybersecurity, Legal, Procurement, Risk, and Business teams.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor is Computer Science or related field
