Program Summary

KBR’s Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems (MAGS) division delivers mission engineering solutions for critical U.S. Army programs, specializing in aviation and ground systems, integrated air and missile defense, and threat and target systems. Job Summary

This position serves as the Organizational Defense Travel Administrator for the Search, Track, Acquire, Radiate, Eliminate (STARE) Project Office, responsible for managing and executing organizational-level travel operations in support of civilian and military personnel. The incumbent ensures all travel functions are carried out in compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Defense Travel System (DTS) policies, and applicable federal laws, while maintaining audit readiness and providing expert customer support. Performs other Administrative Asistant duties as assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

a. Program Administration and Compliance:

  • Use DTS to establish and maintain personnel profiles, organization profiles, routing lists, and groups for one or more organizations.

  • Validates personnel are compliant with policies and guidance.

  • Track and maintain training status for all users.

  • Manages the processing and retention of the PMs required documents.

  • Assist with appointment of certifying and department accountable officials.

  • Maintains Statements of Understanding (SOU) for organization files.

  • Manages the PM travel program IAW PAE Fires travel policies to include business.

  • Monitors and manage roles and training for the PM.

  • Completes in & out processing of the traveler’s checklist for traveler movement between PAE Fires or coming or going from outside organizations or new hires.

  • Reports to the LDTA on the status of PM as managed by data found in the reports run monthly.

b. Audit Readiness and Reporting:

  • Run DTS and TJASS reports for compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Coordinates with FDTA to collect data on monthly reconciliation between GFEBS and DTS for quarterly internal control reporting.

  • Reviews and completes PM quarterly internal controls.

c. System Maintenance and Traveler Support:

  • Maintains routing lists access for all users.

  • Assist the organization’s travelers in resolving DTS and other travel-related issues.

  • Provides travel messages and documents to travelers with required information supporting travel policies, processes, and procedures.

  • Provides troubleshooting and best practices for all users.

Basic Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Associates Degree or six plus years travel coordination experience supporting Government or DOD organizations

  • Current Defense Travel System (DTS) training as an Authorizing Official (AO) and Reviewing Official (RO); hands-on experience is mandatory

  • Experience supporting high-volume or complex travel operations

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and federal travel policies

  • Ability to audit financial and travel documentation for accuracy and compliance

  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex travel system issues

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively; collaborate with workforce members and leadership to resolve travel issues and ensure mission requirements are met

  • Skill in training and briefing personnel on policies and procedures

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
