  • Evaluate existing accounting practices, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and implement practical process enhancements.

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of required tax filings and other state or federal financial reports within established deadlines.

  • Provide management with financial research, reporting, and analysis to support planning and business performance review.

  • Coordinate with banking partners, external accounting advisors, investment professionals, and related financial contacts as needed.

  • Contribute to additional projects such as reconciliations, purchasing support, document control, and data analysis, including occasional evening or weekend work when deadlines require it. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 3 or more years leading staff or supervising an accounting function.

  • Prior hands-on experience with accounts payable processes and strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.

  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including building and editing spreadsheets, using formulas, analyzing data, and working with pivot tables.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage general ledger activity, journal entries, month-end close, and account reconciliations.

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to solve problems, identify trends, and balance detailed execution with broader business priorities.

  • Effective communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Discretion, sound judgment, and a dependable approach to confidential financial information.
