About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide psychotherapy and behavioral health services to residents with complex medical, neurological, and psychiatric needs.

This position combines direct clinical care, behavioral health assessment, therapeutic intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The ideal candidate is an adaptable, independent clinician with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience working with individuals experiencing complex psychiatric, behavioral, and psychosocial challenges. Experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral interventions, or psychiatric settings is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual psychotherapy to residents experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment difficulties, and other mental health concerns.

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and behavioral health assessments.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable therapeutic goals.

  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including CBT, supportive psychotherapy, and other appropriate modalities.

  • Assess and address challenging behaviors, emotional dysregulation, and psychosocial barriers to care.

  • Collaborate with psychiatric providers, nursing, rehabilitation, and Social Services to coordinate behavioral health treatment.

  • Assist in developing individualized behavioral support plans and nonpharmacological interventions.

  • Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and emotional support as clinically appropriate.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and provide clinical recommendations.

  • Support residents and families in adjusting to chronic illness, neurological impairments, disability, and changes in independence.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

Essential Skills

  • Strong clinical assessment, psychotherapy, and treatment-planning skills.

  • Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

  • Ability to assess behavioral concerns and develop appropriate interventions.

  • Excellent professional communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

  • Strong clinical judgment, independent problem-solving, and crisis management abilities.

  • Understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality, professional ethics, and clinical documentation requirements.

  • Ability to manage a clinical caseload in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

  • Cultural sensitivity, empathy, adaptability, and resident-centered practice.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

  • Active, unrestricted New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.

  • Experience providing psychotherapy and behavioral health assessments.

Preferred:

  • Experience in psychiatric care, behavioral health, neurorehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care.

  • Experience or training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), positive behavioral support, or behavioral intervention planning.

  • Experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries, neurological disorders, developmental disabilities, or complex psychiatric conditions.

  • Knowledge of CBT, DBT-informed interventions, trauma-informed care, and behavioral modification strategies.

  • Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) or other electronic health record systems.

What We Offer

  • A collaborative, interdisciplinary environment integrating medical, rehabilitative, and behavioral health services.

  • Opportunities to contribute to the development and enhancement of behavioral health programming.

  • Experience working with a diverse population presenting complex neurological and psychiatric needs.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education.

  • A team committed to our mission of "Revolutionizing Care Delivery."
