Full job description
Overview
Join a world-class team building the future of how small and mid-market businesses around the world run and grow with QuickBooks. As a Principal Product Designer on International, you’ll own design strategy, craft, and outcomes for one of our biggest company bets as we shift from sales-led expansion to AI-driven platform growth across Canada, the UK and Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, and Western Europe.
You’ll set design direction across multiple product areas and markets and rally product, engineering, analytics, and marketing behind a clear, customer-backed point of view. This is an offering-level role for someone who thinks in systems and journeys, not one-off screens. You’ll design experiences that are global by design: built once and deployed everywhere, while staying locally relevant for customers with different currencies, regulations, languages, and expectations.
At Intuit, we're intentionally building AI into how we design, prototype, and ship — and we're committed to equipping our teams to work at the forefront of it. We look for designers who are excited to bring AI into their workflow — using it to move faster, explore further, and save their energy for the decisions that only human judgment and creativity can make. We're looking for designers who are curious, eager to experiment, and excited to continually evolve how they work.
Responsibilities
-
Own the design strategy and vision for a major International product area, connecting near-term experimentation to durable, high-quality customer experiences across markets.
-
Be directly accountable for experience quality and business results, including customer growth, activation, conversion, and retention.
-
Drive an AI-first design strategy, reimagining end-to-end journeys with AI and human expertise at the center, including mobile-first, agentic experiences and entry points on non-Intuit surfaces.
-
Design experiences that make AI-powered features intuitive, transparent, and trustworthy for a diverse range of users
-
Design for global scale. Define universal design patterns and primitives that ship internationally in lockstep with the US, and decide what must be localized and what should stay consistent.
-
Shape experiences for different growth motions: a centralized, product-led engine for small businesses, and a high-touch, sales-led motion with accountants and advisors for Mid-Market.
-
Set the bar for a high-velocity design and experimentation culture, from discovery through rapid prototyping and A/B testing, without sacrificing craft for speed.
-
Up-level design craft across a distributed team spanning our International hubs, and raise the standard for visual, interaction, and systems-level design.
-
Influence senior leadership and cross-functional partners with craft-forward storytelling and research-backed points of view. Align teams on target customers and the experience needed to win them in each market.
-
Coach designers and partners on craft and strategic thinking. Help shape the team’s identity, design standards, and operating model as we scale a Hub & Spoke organization.
-
Partner deeply with PM, engineering, analytics, and marketing as part of a dedicated International triad.
Qualifications
-
10+ years of product design experience, with a strong focus on product-led growth, funnel and conversion design, or B2B/SaaS growth.
-
Track record of owning offering- or segment-level design strategy and delivering measurable business outcomes without compromising experience quality.
-
Experience designing products for multiple international markets, including localization, multi-currency and multi-language experiences, and regulatory differences such as tax, compliance, and e-invoicing.
-
Deep expertise in experimentation and A/B testing, with fluency in behavioral data and funnel analytics.
-
Experience designing with AI/ML, such as personalization, agentic workflows, and AI-accelerated discovery and delivery.
-
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into your design workflow to improve quality, speed, or exploration
-
Experience with design systems or platform-level primitives that scale across products and geographies.
-
Demonstrated ability to up-level craft across a team, including remote and cross-timezone teams.
-
Excellent storytelling, communication, and influence skills, including the ability to rally senior executives and cross-functional partners across regions.
-
Strong portfolio demonstrating rigorous craft, systems-level thinking, and measurable impact at scale.
