Full job description

About Flint Flint is the first self-improving system for performance marketing. We connect to brands' ad accounts and optimize them by instantly creating pages for each ad group and running a learning loop that continually improves conversions. We just signed a Fortune 10 customer, and within 48 hours their customer acquisition cost decreased by 50%. We're backed by Accel, SBVP, the venture fund of former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg, and Neo. Sandberg instantly understood Flint's vision. "I was sharing how it took five teams three months to build one A/B test just to increase conversion by 10% on our Google ad," Flint CEO Michelle Lim said. "And then she stopped me, [and] said, 'Michelle, it was 140 people at Meta who had to do this'." — TechCrunch We envision a future where every business will have an autonomous digital marketer that responds to real-world signals, like competitive shifts, user behavior, and trending search queries, the way an autonomous vehicle responds to road conditions and traffic.

About the team Flint is led by co-founders Michelle Lim, who went from Engineer #1 to Head of Growth and Product at Warp, and Max Levenson, an engineering leader at autonomous vehicle startup Nuro and then Engineer #2 at Vooma (YC S23). Most of our team has founded a company or been a founding engineer, so you’ll be working with people who’ve built from zero before.

About the role As a Forward Deployed Product Manager, you're the face of Flint to our customers and the voice of the customer inside Flint. We work with brands that spend millions on ads, and every one of them wants more growth from that spend. You own a set of those customers from kickoff through renewal. You learn each business, set its strategy, run pilots and experiments hands-on in Flint's ads and page agents, and walk marketing teams and executives through the results. If you've been a PM, the shape of this role will feel familiar: you own an outcome, a plan you drive across people who don't report to you, and hit deadlines without anyone chasing you. The difference is that your customers are the brands, you see test results in days instead of quarters, and there's no queue between what a customer needs and what gets built. You'll run 20 to 30 of these engagements at once, and the way you run them becomes how Flint runs growth for every brand we work with. You will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and work closely with the CEO, Sales team, Product, Marketing, and Engineering.

What you'll do

  • Own 20 to 30 customer accounts as their main point of contact, from kickoff through renewal

  • Run pilots from kickoff to readout and conversion: setup, tracking, success metrics, and the schedule to get there

  • Build an account plan for each customer, covering goals, what to test next, and how we'll know it worked

  • Work hands-on in each account, reviewing the agent's landing pages, keywords, and ads before they ship

  • Design and read experiments, and turn the results into a clear story for marketing teams and executives

  • Lead check-ins, readouts, and escalations, and keep every account moving on schedule

  • Work with product, engineering, and sales to keep each account on track

  • Bring customer pain points back to the team, and turn repeated manual work into agent improvements and our engagement playbook

Who you are

  • A sharp communicator, in writing and in the room. You are comfortable briefing an executive, delivering bad news without flinching, and leaving every customer meeting with a decision

  • Organized at volume. You've run 20 or more projects or workstreams at once without anything slipping, and customers know where things stand without asking

  • High throughput. You'd rather do the thing than describe it, and you use AI tools and agents to multiply yourself

  • Experience owning outcomes with customers, whether as a PM (growth, platform, agent, or forward deployed), a consultant, an engagement manager, or a founder

  • Strong analytical skills, from a messy spreadsheet to a clear recommendation

  • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate

Nice to have

  • Fluent in growth. You can talk CAC, ROAS, and conversion with a CMO, and you've worked on acquisition, landing pages, experiments, or ads

  • Landing page testing or conversion rate optimization

  • AI workflows or tools you've built yourself

  • Startup or founding experience

This role may not be a fit if

  • You want to write the spec and hand it off. Here you own the result, with the customer

  • You want to manage relationships without owning account strategy or working hands-on in the accounts

  • You prefer to focus on one or two large accounts

  • You prefer a fully defined process

Benefits

  • Ownership in an early-stage company through competitive equity

  • Competitive compensation

  • Medical benefits and 20 days of paid time off each year

  • Lunch, snacks, and Cometeer coffee in the office

  • A dog-friendly office in the Financial District

  • A highly creative team that spends time together inside and outside the office

  • The opportunity to build a critical function from the beginning, while shaping a new category
