Location : Torrance, CA | Pay range: $45 - $58/hour DOE | Schedule: 1st shift

Ready to put your NC programming expertise to work building the next generation of aerospace components? PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in aerospace parts manufacturing to find an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with hands-on experience in multi-axis milling, NX programming, and precision aluminum machining.

In this role, you’ll help transform engineering requirements into efficient, high-quality machining processes, optimizing programs, tooling, and workholding to keep aerospace production moving.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and optimize NC programs for aerospace components using Siemens NX programming software .

  • Program and support 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling operations .

  • Analyze component geometry, materials, workholding, and machine capabilities to maximize machining efficiency.

  • Design and develop workholding fixtures and select appropriate cutting tools for aerospace machining applications.

  • Determine tooling, materials, and machining strategies to meet product specifications and manufacturing goals.

  • Support process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, and machining performance.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve machining challenges and support production requirements.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills.

  • Experience using Siemens NX CAM programming software .

  • Experience machining aluminum aerospace components.

  • Knowledge of workholding fixture development and cutting tool selection.

  • Understanding of CNC machining processes, manufacturing specifications, and production requirements.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Approximately 2–4 years of relevant manufacturing engineering or CNC programming experience.

  • Experience optimizing machining cycles, tooling strategies, and machine utilization.

  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards and precision machining practices.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $58.00 per hour
