Cloud DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Cloud DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and support cloud infrastructure initiatives on Microsoft Azure. This hands-on role will be responsible for developing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and modernizing applications onto Azure PaaS services. The engineer will partner with application, security, and networking teams to deliver scalable, secure, and cloud-first solutions while driving automation, platform reliability, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Azure infrastructure, Terraform, GitHub Actions, containerization, Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud-native architecture. This individual will also support networking, security, and database initiatives within Azure, leveraging automation and modern DevOps practices to accelerate cloud adoption and continuous improvement across the platform.

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering experience in production Azure environments -Strong Azure expertise across PaaS services, compute, storage, networking, identity, and managed databases -Production experience with Terraform (modules, remote state, environment management, IaC best practices) -Experience building and maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, reusable workflows, approvals, and OIDC authentication -Experience modernizing on-prem/VM-based applications to Azure PaaS services -Working knowledge of Docker and containerization -Experience supporting Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, or other cloud-hosted relational databases -Scripting/automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash -Knowledge of Azure networking and security concepts including VNETs, Private Link, Private DNS, and Managed Identities -AWS experience, especially hybrid cloud and cloud migration projects -Kubernetes experience (Helm, workload migrations, Azure Container Apps) -Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards) -Azure, Terraform, or GitHub certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400 preferred) -Experience with private Terraform registries and self-service infrastructure models -Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices
