NVIDIA is looking for a Commodity Manager/Market Analysis Manager for Substrates Commodity Management. Ideal candidate will own strategic sourcing, market analysis, and commodity management of substrates and associated raw materials supply chain. This position develops, directs, and influences the global sourcing and commodity strategies that deliver significant value in the supply chain through sourcing strategies, supply assurance, component quality, and gross margin improvements.
What you’ll be doing: This role is a critical part of NVIDIA product development process and is responsible for formulating, communicating and carrying out the substrates commodity sourcing strategy for raw materials that go into substrates fabrication. This role needs to have solid knowledge of the substrates supply chain and industry and should be able to perform market analysis and triangulate with industry reports. They must establish strong internal relationships with NVIDIA cross functional teams. Responsibilities include:

Analyze market research data from external sources and connect data with knowledge of industry.

Build cross-functional alignment with internal teams (engineering, planning) to identify commodity sourcing strategies with the supply base capable of meeting NVIDIA business segment requirements for Substrates Supply Chain.

Develop and handle supplier relationships and conduct business reviews that improve suppliers value, performance, and account investments through aligned roadmaps

Accountable for component supply assurance and inventory flexibility programs that increase flexibility and minimize liabilities

Deliver a supplier risk management system, BOM risk reduction solutions, materials risk mitigation strategies and maintaining data integrity to ensure supply resiliency.

Resolve impediments to production readiness and to support in execution during production

Enable early supplier involvement to bring innovation from the industry to deliver innovation on SOL (Speed of Light) project schedules

Concentrated effort to achieve industry leading time-to-market, establishing supplier selection criteria, and alternative suppliers.
What we need to see:

BS in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management (or equivalent experience). MBA Preferred

Minimum of 8+ years experience in semiconductor or substrates technical and / or supply chain teams

Deep understanding of substrates and associated materials technology, market, manufacturing process, cost drivers and supply landscape

Ability to be innovative in issues related to strategic sourcing, supplier relations, supplier performance measurement system

Strong analytical skills such as industry competition analysis and supply/demand analysis

Excellent negotiation and leadership skills in supplier management; communication and influencing skills dealing with supply base executives

High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail in a collaborative environment

Technical experience to compliment strong program management skills is a plus
