Full job description
Assist in providing a normalization program to promote the realization of each resident's full potential for independence and self-fulfillment. - Assist residents with the daily living skills, socialization skills, interpersonal communication, and recreation. - Be knowledgeable of the residents' basic rights as citizens of the community and assist them in exercising those rights in appropriate and beneficial ways. Act as role models and advocates for the residents in a manner acceptable to Bridgewood. - Instruct, organize, assist and direct residents in their daily living activities, medication passing, personal hygiene, laundry, household cleaning, meal preparations, group living skills, and development of social skills, respect and manners. - Actively participate in staff meetings, workshops and special meetings, as may be required. - Document correctly all required information as directed by Bridgewood policies and procedures. - Adhere to and carry out the principles outlined in Bridgewood Administrative Manual. - Perform any reasonable additional duties delegated to them by the Home Manager that are not specifically provided for in this job description, but that are deemed necessary for the overall achievement of the program's objectives and goals.
