Job Duties
Daikin Applied is seeking a seasoned leader to develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) and Release Management strategy across multiple software platforms. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement, adopt advanced testing methodologies, and champion process automation to enhance software quality and operational efficiency. This role includes building and leading a high-performing team, designing scalable QA frameworks, managing all phases of the QA lifecycle, and implementing modern automated testing solutions. The candidate will also oversee release planning and execution, align QA and release strategies with organizational objectives, and partner closely with DevOps teams to integrate QA practices into CI/CD pipelines. In addition, this role will be responsible for cybersecurity testing, ensuring a strong security posture as part of delivering high-quality software solutions. Success in this position requires innovation, strong leadership, and a commitment to delivering exceptional software in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Develop and execute a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap for Quality Assurance (QA) and Release Management across multiple software platforms.

Build and organize a scalable structure to support a QA Center of Excellence and managed QA services.

Recruit and develop talent to meet organizational needs and future demands.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing advanced testing techniques, automation, and overall software quality.

Establish scalable, efficient QA processes, tools, and frameworks designed for high-velocity, dynamic environments.

Oversee all phases of the QA lifecycle, from strategy and test planning to execution, defect management, and quality validation.

Ensure comprehensive testing across applications, including functional, regression, performance, security, and scalability testing.

Implement and optimize automated testing solutions (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter) to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency.

Monitor and report key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, customer impact) to enable data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to integrate QA processes with CI/CD pipelines and shared infrastructure.

Align QA and release strategies with organizational objectives by partnering with Application and Operations teams.

Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging QA methodologies (e.g., risk-based testing, model-based testing), tools, and best practices.

Introduce innovative solutions (e.g., TestComplete, Azure DevOps, DesignWise) to advance automation, test coverage, and QA management.

Champion a forward-thinking mindset to ensure QA capabilities evolve with industry trends and future needs.

Lead planning, coordination, and execution of release cycles across multiple product and software portfolios.

Develop structured release workflows to ensure timely, reliable updates to production environments.

Identify, collect, and manage data to support SLAs and other release-related performance metrics.

Baseline and measure quality improvements across release cycles, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Remote Work
May work remote 2-3 days per week.
Travel
Position requires domestic travel up to 15% of the time for client meetings, QA audits, and team coordination at project sites. Travel may include occasional international trips for global QA initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field involving computer systems or software development, plus ten (10) years of experience in a software quality assurance role. Required experience must include:

Experience building and managing a Quality Assurance (QA) Center of Excellence.

Experience communicating technical and strategic information to executive leadership.
-
Experience building and managing QA teams, including recruiting talent and overseeing contractors.
-
Experience leading large-scale QA projects for complex software systems.
-
Knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies and tools, including TestComplete, Azure DevOps (ADO), Git, DesignWise, Postman, and JMeter.
-
Experience working with automation frameworks, including Robot Framework.
-
Experience with QA methodologies and workflows, including Waterfall, Agile, and continuous automation practices.
-
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
-
Experience supporting enterprise applications, including Salesforce, Workday, SAP, and Vertex.
-
Experience working with cloud-based platforms, including Microsoft Azure and custom cloud solutions.
