Licensed Veterinary Technician

This role has a $4,000 sign-on bonus . Bonus paid at 30 days and has a mandatory 12-month retention period

VCA Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center of Westbury, is growing and to better support the pets and people in our community we are in search of a licensed veterinary technician (or licensed eligible) to be a part of our growing ER/ICU hospital team !

Compensation : $31.00 – $37.00 / hour based on skill set, experience, and licensure status

Potential Schedule : Full time, Weekend shift required.

ER Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties:

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring

• Ability to calculate drug doses

• Full Technician Skill Utilization

• Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams

• Venipuncture / IVC placement

• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)

• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services

• Providing compassionate care for all patients

• Imaging and advanced procedures
